The peptides in this category are chemical reagents intended solely for laboratory research (Research Use Only), analysed in the literature in the context of tissue regeneration and repair. They include peptides with a direct action (BPC-157, TB-500) and growth hormone secretagogues (GHRPs). They are not dietary supplements, medicines or products intended for use in humans.
Research Use Only. The products in this category are chemical substances for laboratory and scientific applications. They are not dietary supplements, medicines or foodstuffs. They are not intended for consumption or for administration to humans or animals, and they do not serve for regeneration, tissue repair or training support in humans. The descriptions refer to pharmacology and to results reported in the literature — they do not constitute advice or instructions for use.
This category brings together peptides that appear in the scientific literature in the context of tissue healing and regeneration. They fall into two groups with a different mechanism.
Peptides with a direct action. BPC-157 (a pentadecapeptide derived from a fragment of a gastric-juice protein) and TB-500 / Thymosin Beta-4 (a peptide regulating actin dynamics) are analysed in models of the repair of tendons, ligaments, muscles and connective tissue. Their role in these studies is associated, among other things, with angiogenesis, cell migration and the modulation of inflammation.
Growth hormone secretagogues (GHRPs). GHRP-2, GHRP-6, Ipamorelin and related peptides stimulate the secretion of growth hormone through the ghrelin receptor. In research into regeneration, this context is linked to the GH–IGF-1 axis, which participates in repair processes. This is an indirect action — through hormonal signalling, not the direct repair of tissue.
The common denominator of both groups is their status as research tools. The data come for the most part from animal models and cell cultures; the transfer to human physiology remains the subject of research, not an established fact.
The mechanism and the state of the research for each of these compounds are expanded in dedicated articles in the One-Peptides knowledge base, tied together by the guide to regenerative peptides.
The directions below describe what is the subject of research — not effects promised to a user.
The peptides in this category are chemical reagents with Research Use Only status. They are not dietary supplements, medicines or foodstuffs; they are not intended to support regeneration, training or physique in humans, or for any use outside a controlled research environment. Some of these peptides are on the WADA monitoring or prohibited list (including TB-500 and the GHRPs in category S2 — peptide growth factors) — athletes subject to anti-doping control should verify the current guidance.
Category map: BPC-157-related products are also organized in the BPC-157 category, while the mechanism-level context is covered in the recovery peptides guide.
